About us
Rowhani Baha’i School began in 1999 with 7 students in a small room above the local stationery store. It is now located in beautiful grounds on the edge of town and, boasts approximately 230 students with classes from kindergarten through to year 10. In the future the school plans to expand to offer single classes from year 1 to 6 (currently we have three composite classes) and also years 11 through 13 to allow students to complete their secondary schooling at Rowhani.
An important aspect of our school is the character development of our students, ensuring that they become valuable members of society, committed to uplifting their communities and giving service to those around them. We are making use of a world-wide junior youth programme that, while being Bahá’í-inspired, has appeal and relevance to all youth in their early teenage years. This programme helps students to make wise and responsible choices in their behaviour, and gives them a vision of their positive role and contribution to the world.
The school's social standing in the community is high. Parents respect the school and often express their amazement at their children’s progress - both academically and in terms of their behaviour. The good reputation of the school continues to grow and parents often express gratitude that their children are able to attend Rowhani School.
